Description

SIMPLY MING, named "One of the Five TV Food Shows to Sink Your Teeth Into" by TIME,ushers in its sixth season with more East-West cooking from Emmy-winning chef Ming Tsai. The series provides both the curious beginner and the culinary expert simple solutions for creating palate-pleasing recipes without hours of preparation. This season, Ming simplifies things in the kitchen even further by focusing on only two main ingredients: one East and one West. From ginger and lemons to coconut milk and molasses, Ming creates a repertoire of flavor-packed dishes that combine the best of both worlds. In addition, Ming's one-pot segments offer solutions for making an entire dish all in one vessel — whether in a frying pan or Ming's favorite wok. Joining Ming on-set are public television's own Michel Nischan of The Victory Gardenand Jose Andreas of Made In Spain; Tom Collichio of Bravo's Top Chef, and New York legends Laurent Tourondel, Alfred Portale and many more. Ming also travels the country to visit some of the world's most celebrated chefs, including Chicago's Rick Bayless of Mexico — One Plate at a Time, Gale Gand of the Food Network's Sweet Dreams,Miami's beloved Michelle Bernstein of Check, Please!and even pro-golfer and foodie Annika Sorenstam, each of whom put their distinctive spin on Ming's creations.
