Five new titles heat up APT HD in February!

Dudu Fisher: In Concert From Israel

Our February HD offerings include two new music specials recorded in intimate venues. Each week, the innovative new music series Live From the Artists Den (13x60) will feature an invitation-only concert by cutting-edge, contemporary musicians, along with artist interviews and insights about the unusual venues chosen. Season one opens with a hits-filled performance by seven-time Grammy Award-winning, pop singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette, recorded at Judson Memorial Church in New York City. Other top artists slated to appear include: Jakob Dylan, The Hold Steady, Ani DiFranco, Raphael Saadiq, Patty Griffin, Aimee Mann, KT Tunstall, Josh Ritter and Ben Harper. Schedule in weekend fringe, as a lead-in or lead-out to Austin City Limits or Soundstage.

Later in the month, stay tuned for Dudu Fisher: In Concert From Israel (1x60 & 1x90), in which acclaimed singer David “Dudu” Fisher performs crowd-pleasing Broadway classics and popular Israeli songs at a 200-seat amphitheater in Israel. Capture the feed on Feb. 25 and consider pairing this with either American Masters' Jerome Robbins: Something to Dance About or America's Ballroom Challenge.

In addition, two of public television's most enlightened travelers return to present their latest journeys around the world. In Richard Bangs’ Adventures With Purpose- Morocco: Quest for the Kasbah (1x60), the famed adventurer ventures to the seashore in Marrakech, the mountains of Ouarzazate, the northern city of Tangier and the legendary metropolis of Casablanca to uncover the heart and soul of Morocco. Consider scheduling on Saturdays alongside PBS' Roadtrip Nation or Made in Spain.

Save some space for Rick Steves’ Romantic’s Europe (1x120) in February. The two-hour pledge event finds the travel guru viewing Gaudi’s unfinished architectural masterpiece in Barcelona, enjoying the local pub culture in Prague and marveling at the Lascaux Caves, the Sistine Chapel of the prehistoric world, in the Dordogne valley.

Highlighting this month APT HD goes to the dogs in February with a brand-new season of Raggs (13x30). The lively series for preschoolers features live-action clubhouse segments, animated shorts, original songs, music videos, and interviews with real children, interactive studio concerts and a “Wag & Wiggle” dance segment. With 73 episodes now available, consider stripping the series and scheduling it daily between 09:00 and 14:00.
